Ruth and Norman Moore Visiting Professor Lecture: Erik L'Heureux

Erik G. L'Heureux, AIA, LEED AP, the Ruth and Norman Moore Visiting Professor for spring 2017, will deliver a lecture titled Hot Air. as part of the Public Lecture Series.

L'Heureux is an American architect and educator based in Singapore. He is an associate professor and undergraduate program director at the National University of Singapore. He is also the founding principal of Pencil Office and the Office of Equatorial Intelligence, from where he has completed a series of awarded design projects in Southeast Asia. In 2015 L'Heureux received the Wheelwright Prize from Harvard University, which has furthered his interests through the study of mid-20th century modernism and contemporary urbanization found along the hot and wet equator.

In his lecture, L'Heureux will speak about the challenges of practice in a radically different climate from St. Louis and the impacts of equatorial atmosphere on his own design work.
