A student interested in the Cooperative Program should complete the following courses during the first two undergraduate years: one semester of Math/Calculus; one semester of Physics; two semesters of History of Western Civilization or equivalent; a four-semester studio sequence in introductory design including exercises in the design process, drawing, graphics, color, materials, scale, etc.

The student is also responsible for completing courses necessary for their home institution's degree requirements during their three years of enrollment there, using the courses taken at Washington University as additional elective credit.
