Master of Science in Architectural Studies
The 30-credit, two-semester Master of Science in Architectural Studies (MSAS) program provides students the opportunity to engage in research specialization or focus beyond that possible within the professional degree programs.
Two concentrations are currently available: Architectural Pedagogy, and the History and Culture of Architecture.

Curriculum
Mandatory Thesis or Project: 6 credits (minimum)
Research Preparation: 3 credits
Seminars, Directed Research, Extra-School, Independent Study: 21 credits
Total: 30 credits
*A maximum of 15 credits can be counted towards both the MArch, MLA, or MUD program and the MSAS program. Decisions regarding course credit counting towards more than one program will be made by the academic advisor.
*Credits may not be transferred from another institution into the MSAS program. Potential candidates must apply directly to the program.
