Sasha Bash, a sophomore in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis, has won a $1,000 scholarship from the Fashion Group International (FGI) of St. Louis.

Bash was among three recipients honored during FGI’s annual Style and Scholarship event last fall. All three were chosen on the basis of their design work and a brief essay. Bash was recognized in the category of fashion design. Her portfolio included a fully functional dress made entirely from paper, among other projects.

FGI is a global, nonprofit professional organization founded in New York in 1930 to benefit the fashion industry. It currently has more than 5,000 members in city chapters around the world. Its archives are maintained by The New York Public Library. For more information, visit saintlouis.fgi.org.
